The Shafer Art Gallery will unveil its next exhibit “Reclaimed Creations,” by Sayaka Ganz, with a reception at 6:30 p.m. July 7, featuring a screening of a video about the artist, comments by the director, and light refreshments. The exhibit runs through August 12. Admission is free.

Barton Community College has partnered with Medicalodges, Inc. to offer a new apprenticeship program blending classroom instruction with paid on-the-job training. Medicalodges Academy: Pathway to Learning and Earning will allow students to train in areas such as Registered Nursing (RN), Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN), Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), and Dietary Manager.
