Barton Community College is accepting students for individual lessons and a group guitar class this fall, and all classes will be taught by the new instructor, Aleia Gonzalez, a world-class guitar player from Paraguay.

The drought monitor report as of Tuesday, July 11 is essentially unchanged since last week for our area. 

National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), the nation's largest provider of postsecondary transcript services, has recently identified a security breach. This breach, affecting several higher education institutions across the country, potentially includes Barton Community College, which utilizes NSC for federally mandated enrollment certifications and transcript services.

The drought monitor report as of Tuesday, July 4 is essentially unchanged since last week with our area still in extreme drought. 

Students from Barton’s chapter of HOSA (Future Health Professionals) joined almost 11,000 students in Dallas, Texas earlier this summer at the 2023 International Leadership Conference (ILC), where they competed against students from all 50 states as well as students from Korea, China, Canada, Puerto Rico, and America Samoa.

Barton Community College has named 233 students to the President’s List for the spring 2023 semester. To qualify for this honor students must have been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintained a grade point average of 4.0 on a 4.0 or "A" letter scale.

Barton Community College has named 231 students to the Dean’s List for the spring 2023 semester. To qualify for this honor, students must have been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintained a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.99 on a 4.0 or "A" letter scale.

The drought monitor report as of Tuesday, June 27 indicates a fairly situation in our area, extreme drought. 

Barton Community College will be closed Tuesday, July 4 for Independence Day. Classes will resume and offices will reopen Wednesday, July 5.
