The Barton Performing Arts Department invites the community to enjoy its “Autumn Arts” concert from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Oct. 13 in the Fine Arts Auditorium

Veronica Lara took her citizenship classes through Barton’s Center for Adult Education 11 years ago and through that process, she learned that they also provide courses for adults wanting to continue their education.

Thanks to scholarships from the Barton Foundation, five Barton Business students are getting a huge financial boost of $10,000 towards paying for college so they can pursue career goals after school with as little debt as possible.

Barton's Fine and Performing Arts Department will join forces with the Shafer Art Gallery to present the Faculty Recital & Exhibition Sept. 15 at 4:30 p.m. in the Shafer Gallery.

The drought monitor report as of Tuesday, August 23, indicates increasing expansion of severe drought.  Nothing more needs to be said.  Currently the outlook for establishing and maintaining the 2023 wheat crop is sketchy at best for many parts of Kansas, with exceptions scattered about. 

Barton Community College and the Center for Adult Education will be closed and there will be no classes in observance of Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 5. Offices will reopen and classes will resume on Sept. 6.
