Barton Community College celebrated the accomplishments of its nursing graduates during two separate Nursing Pinning Ceremonies May 15 in the Fine Arts Auditorium recognizing students from both the Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing programs in Great Bend and Pratt.

Lauren Heller of Junction City and Cam Bergstrom of Alberta, Canada, were named Barton Community College’s 2026 Outstanding Graduates, and Vice President of Student Services Angie Maddy recognized them as part of Barton’s commencement on Friday. 

Barton Community College has announced Cadence Halfhill of Ellsworth and Maverick Munden of Larned as its 2025-26 Brant J. Ballhorst Student Ambassadors of the Year.
