Tired of paying someone else to do your taxes?  Barton Community College is here to help with its Personal Income Tax Preparation course, which is scheduled for 12-12:50 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays from January 12 to March 6, 2015.

GED Orientation classes starting at Barton Community College

Barton Community College’s Center for Adult Education will soon be starting its 9-week GED Preparation Class.

The orientation session, which is a prerequisite for the course, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Jan. 5-9 at 1025 Main St. in Great Bend. Those interested can call ahead or arrive on the first day of orientation.

Regular coursework begins on Jan. 12 and is offered from 9 a.m.–noon Monday, Tuesday and Thursday or in the evenings from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Barton Community College to offer outreach classes in St. John

Barton Community College will offer outreach classes for the spring 2015 semester at St. John High School, 406 N.  Monroe.  General Psychology will meet from 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 13 through May 12.  Public Speaking will meet from 6:15-9:15 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 15 through May 14.

Each course is worth three credit hours.  Students can also enroll by calling Enrollment Services at (620) 792-9252.  Cost per course is $291.
