Dance students wanting to learn more about dancing in college are invited to attend Barton’s second annual “Barton Cougar Dance Day,” from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 25. Those interested can sign up at shows.bartonccc.edu.

Due to COVID-19, most of this year’s day of dance will be held virtually with four slots available for participants to visit in-person, which will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.

Dancers aged 13-18 years are welcome to join in a day-in-the-life in the dance department with current dance students.

Bielek said participants will take short dance classes, attend dance information seminars, rehearse with Barton’s dance company “Barton Dance Theatre” and more.

“If you ever wondered what dancing in college is like, then this is your chance to come dance with us!” she said.

For more information, contact Director of Barton Dance Theatre Danika Bielek at bielekd@bartonccc.edu or (620) 792-9253.
