Hundreds of colleges and universities around the nation will be hosting panel discussions, workshops, and campus-wide celebrations to recognize their first-generation students, faculty, and leadership during the week of November 8. This date marks the anniversary of the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965, which has continued to unlock the doors of opportunity for generations of students.
We will be sharing #BartonFirstGen stories of students, staff, and faculty throughout the week. We’ll also be giving away “First-Gen Proud” stickers all day on November 8th.
