Barton Performing Arts Department and students invite the community to celebrate the creative side of the Halloween season with the family-friendly “Haunting on the Hill 3: The Season of Fun” event from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Fine Arts Building.
Barton Community College will host student recitals at 5 p.m. Nov. 2 and Nov. 30 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel in the Fine Arts Building. The recitals are free and open to the public.
The Barton Theatre Department will present the whimsically magical comedy “Puffs,” by Matt Cox, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26, 27, and 28 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.

The Barton Community College Theatre Department will hold auditions for its spring production of the classic story “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” at 2 p.m. Nov. 4 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. All roles and technical positions will be cast. Those auditioning do not need to prepare anything but will need to be prepared to dance.
The Barton Community College Instrumental Music Department will present a pair of exchange concerts with Sterling College at 3 p.m. Oct. 29 at Sterling College, and at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Admission is free for both concerts.
The Shafer Gallery will host the “McKown Masquerade Ball” for guests ages 21 and over featuring a costume contest, live music, and hors d'oeuvres at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27 in the Gallery, and the event also serves as a kickoff party for the “Friends and Acquaintances” Community Art Exhibit, which is underwritten by the Bill J. McKown Memorial Endowment and distributed by the Golden Belt Community Foundation.
Barton Community College has announced its list of graduates who earned associate degrees or certificates for career training during the summer semester of 2023.
Get your boots or dancing shoes ready for “Friday Night Line Dancing” class at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 in Studio 34 (located at the south end of campus) and join us for an unforgettable evening of socializing and line dancing for all ages and skill levels.
