Barton Community College invites the public to participate in a series of free computer and digital literacy classes offered throughout August, including two new trainings in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
All classes are no-cost, no-registration workshops designed to help community members build essential technology skills for personal use, school, or work.
Upcoming classes include:
Getting Started with Free Email Services
Aug. 5, 6 to 8 p.m., Front Door – City of Great Bend
Learn to set up a free email account (Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail), send and reply to messages, attach files, manage your inbox, and stay safe online.
Creating and Formatting Documents with Confidence
Aug. 20, 6 to 8 p.m., Great Bend Public Library
Build your Microsoft Word skills by learning how to create, format, save, and print documents.
Organizing and Analyzing Data with Confidence
Aug. 26, 6 to 8 p.m., Front Door – City of Great Bend
Build your Microsoft Excel skills by learning how to enter data, create simple formulas, format spreadsheets, and generate basic charts. A basic understanding of Windows-based computers is required.
Designing and Delivering Presentations with Confidence
Aug. 28, 6 to 8 p.m., Front Door – City of Great Bend
Build your Microsoft PowerPoint skills by learning how to create slides, add visuals and animations, and present your ideas clearly and effectively.
Barton is offering these opportunities in partnership with the Digital Opportunities to Connect Kansas grant, aiming to improve digital access and confidence for all Kansans.
