Barton Community College emerged as one of the leaders in enrollment growth across the state, with an initial increase of 5% in students for the fall semester, which is the third-largest increase in the state amongst community colleges.
The Barton Community College Theatre Department will present 'Time Stands Still', a powerful drama by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies, October 16-19 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
The Barton Community College Library will team up with the English department and Barton’s literary annual “Prairie Ink” staff to host a “Spooky” writing workshop from 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 16 in the Barton Library in the Cavanaugh Room.

The Barton Community College Board of Trustees voted unanimously at its September meeting to approve the launch of a women’s wrestling program, set to begin competition in the 2026-2027 academic year.
