Barton Community College will host a screening of the documentary “Storm of Passion” March 22 at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium; a live panel discussion will follow the event featuring members of the Storm of Passion volunteer storm-chasing team.
The 15th Annual Barton Community College Foundation Sporting Clay Shoot is set for April 27 at Camp Aldrich, offering participants a day of friendly competition while raising funds for a great cause.
Barton Community College will host student recitals at 4:30 p.m. April 2, 16, and 30 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel in the Fine Arts Building. The recitals are free and open to the public.
The Barton Music Department will present a choral concert alongside the Central Kansas Community Choir, and the Hutchinson Community College Choir for two performances of Gabriel Faure’s “Requiem Mass,” at 7:30 p.m. April 4 in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Barton Campus and again on April 6 at 2 p.m. at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Hutchinson.
Potential students will have an opportunity to gear up for the fall semester during Barton’s popular “Enrollment Day” sessions, which start on April 15 and will continue throughout the summer.
Otherworldly 3D art will be front and center at the Shafer Gallery’s “Sci-Fi Ceramics” event, led by artist John Hamilton April 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Ceramics Lab, in the Technical Building, room T-151.
