
The Board of Trustees invites applications for the Presidency of Barton Community College.
After a tenure of nearly 17 years providing stability of institutional operations, the current President of Barton announced his retirement on September 12, 2023.
The sixth President of Barton will have the opportunity to work within a collaborative governance model with the elected Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, students, and the community to establish educational and administrative policies and practices that will best support Barton’s Mission:
“Barton offers exceptional and affordable learning opportunities supporting student, community, and employee needs.”
As the face of Barton, the president will establish strategies and measurable goals to increase enrollment and ensure equity in student access and success. Through positive leadership, the president will ensure the efficient and effective use of all college resources to ensure quality and integrity in strategic planning and outcomes.

Barton is governed by a six-member Barton Board of Trustees elected from Barton County and coordinated by the Kansas Board of Regents.
