High school seniors interested in auditioning for vocal ensembles or instrumental ensembles and learning about scholarship opportunities in music for the 2026–2027 academic year are encouraged to sign up for one of Barton’s “Music Scholarship Days” on March 7 or April 18, or contact music faculty to schedule an appointment audition on a different date.

Scholarships are available for music majors and non-music majors, instrumental and vocal ensembles, guitar ensemble, and piano instruction and accompaniment. Awards range from $250 to $1,500 per year. Scholarships for music majors can be up to $3,000 per year and can be combined with other academic and activity awards.

Students may earn multiple music scholarships based on their level of involvement, and these awards can be stacked. Participation in more than one ensemble, such as concert band, jazz band, pep band, or Hilltop Singers, can increase a student’s overall scholarship total, as each ensemble has its own specific scholarship award.
