Barton Dance Theatre’s will host another “Dancing with the Cougars” fundraiser class featuring a salsa and Latin dance class from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. March 19 in Studio 34, and all proceeds will go to support Barton Dance Theatre's trip to dance in New York City.
Barton Dance Instructor and Fine and Performing Arts Coordinator said not only will attendees learn some cool new moves, but they will also get a terrific workout.
“Latin dance uses the whole body and is a great low-impact cardio exercise,” she said. “Various dance styles will be taught including salsa, cha-cha, mambo, and merengue. We will teach the dances to be done solo and with a partner. Dance parties can happen on Tuesday nights.”
