The Barton Community College Instrumental Music Department will present their annual fall concert at 7:30 p.m. November 15 in the Fine Arts Auditorium at Barton Community College. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
This year’s concert will feature the Prairie Winds Concert Band, the Prairie Winds Jazz Band, Woodwind Ensemble and Flute Choir. A wide variety of music will be presented from marches, overtures, holiday music and jazz.
Featured soloists include Karole Erikson on piano and Katie Sperry on clarinet. The groups are under the direction of Steven Lueth, Director of Instrumental Activities.
The public is invited to visit Shafer Gallery until the concert begins. A wide range of local artists’ work is on display in the gallery as part of the Barton County Arts Council Friends and Acquaintances exhibit now through December 8. There is no admission for the concert but donations will be accepted at the door.
