The Barton Fine and Performing Arts Hall of Fame Committee is inviting the public to submit nominations for Barton faculty, alumni, or individuals associated with the College who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their artistic field.
Over its 56-year history, Barton Community College has been a regional leader in arts and arts education. This marks the Hall of Fame’s second year. Last year, the committee honored the following individuals who laid a foundation for the arts in the region through their years of service as Barton Fine and Performing Arts faculty:
- Steve Dudek (Instructor of Art, 1977-2018)
- Ken Shaheen (Choral Director, 1970-1992)
- Bob Loss (Director of Theatre, 1987-2007)
- JB Webster (Director of Instrumental Music, 1969-1991)
Those wishing to submit a nomination can fill out a brief form at shows.bartonccc.edu.
Nominations will be accepted until Nov. 17 at 11 p.m. Any submissions received after the deadline will be held for consideration during next year’s award cycle. The 2025 Barton Fine and Performing Arts Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized during the Holiday Concert Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
