Barton Dance Theatre will host “Dancing with the Cougars,” a special tango dance workshop that features an unlikely pair of styles at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12 in Studio 34, with all proceeds supporting the group’s trip to perform in New York City in January.

This one-time class will teach participants the basics and variations of the tango as well as country and western two-step dancing. Barton Dance Instructor Danika Bielek will lead the session, which is designed for all levels of dance experience and is suitable for ages 12 and older. Barton’s dance studio, Studio 34, is located on the southeast end of campus in the Bison student housing area.

Admission at the door is $15 per person or $20 for those attending with a dance partner. For more information, contact Barton Dance Instructor and Performing Arts Coordinator Danika Bielek at bielekd@bartonccc.edu or (620) 792-9253.
