What is DegreeWorks?

DegreeWorks is a computerized, web-based degree audit program and academic advising tool that has been designed to assist students and their advisors in reviewing their progress toward graduation.  The audit is separated into blocks based on degree, major, and emphasis requirements.

DegreeWorks Features

DegreeWorks will help you:

  • Determine what requirements you need to fulfill in order to complete your degree.
  • Determine which courses you have taken or transferred, and which ones count as electives
  • View transfer credits, waivers, and exemptions applied toward degree.
  • See how your coursework could be applied toward another major or emphasis using the ‘What If’ option.
  • Estimate how many semester it will take you to graduate.
  • Learn the prerequisites for courses by clicking on the course numbers.

Getting Started

Login and Student Search

  • Log into your MyBarton Portal - Faculty Services - DegreeWorks for Advisors

From the landing page, you will have access to the “Key Block”.  This is where you can either directly enter a student’s ID or select the “Find” icon to perform a student search. Inputting a specific ID number will display only that student’s audit. Clicking the “Find” icon will direct you to the student search box.
