Barton’s Exercise Science program prepares students for transfer while providing an overall knowledge within the study of health and human movement while also focusing on safety, first aid and injury prevention.
The Physical Education curriculum prepares you to teach elementary, junior high/middle school, and high school Physical Education. Many students interested in Physical Education also complete a curriculum leading to secondary coaching, although an endorsement to coach are available.
Students pursuing a Sports Management emphasis complete coursework in both physical education and business to prepare them for further study to prepare them for the Sports Management industry. Students are expected to leave the program with the foundations for understanding relevant Sport Management concepts and principles.
