Barton student Courtney Dillon spent time caring for some of her older family members as she approached her college years, and the fulfillment she felt from doing that made the decision to pursue nursing easy for her.
The Barton Theatre Department will present a free holiday play, “Christmas at the Old Toy Store,” by Lyndall Burrow at 2 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8 at The Crest Theatre 1905 Lakin Ave., Great Bend.
Barton Community College is transforming classroom learning with cutting-edge training tools, including the APEX Officer virtual reality (VR) system for criminal justice students and an advanced ambulance simulator for EMS training to prepare students for real-world scenarios.
Barton Community College will be closed for Thanksgiving break Nov. 27 through Nov. 29. The college will resume its regular schedule on Dec. 2.
The Barton Performing Arts Department invites the community to enjoy nostalgic, holiday-themed entertainment as well as the induction of the first members of the Fine and Performing Arts Hall of Fame at its annual holiday concert at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 5 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
At 19 years old, Eston Juno of Otis will be set to enter the workforce when he graduates this spring after just one year in Barton’s Natural Gas Program and is ready to see his efforts pay off.
