Students pursuing a Sport Management emphasis are looking to become leaders in the athletic world. Students complete coursework in physical education and business. Students are expected to leave the program with the foundations for understand relevant Sport Management concepts and principles. Once students have transferred, they will also gain knowledge in sport law, facilities management, policy development, and other topics relevant to the sporting world.

Barton Community College's Sports Management curriculum is designed to provide the general education requirement and core courses for students who plan to transfer to a four year-college or university to complete a bachelor's degree in Sports Management or related field. In addition to general education courses like Personal and Community Health, we offer electives including Intro to Sports Administration, Rules and Officiating, and Psychology of Sport. Electives must meet the requirements of your transferring institution. Students should coordinate with their advisor for transfer requirements.
