Barton music students to present recital

Barton Community College will present a student recital of instrumental and vocal performances at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel, located in the Fine Arts Building, F-157.  The recital is free.

The recital will involve students of Keyboard Instructor Karole Erikson, Director of Instrumental Studies Steve Lueth and Voice Instructor Glenna Gaunt. Barton music students are an eclectic group made up of traditional college students, area high school students enrolled for college credit and area adults studying for their own enjoyment. This recital will include classical vocal and instrumental literature, musical theatre selections from “Sweeney Todd’ and “Jekyll & Hyde,” a Christmas medley and a polka.

This recital will feature instrumental performances from the following Barton Music students:  Ashley Sheldon of Ellinwood on violin, Kira Bunn of Great Bend on trombone, Rebecca Harmison of Dighton on flute, Robert Feldt of Great Bend on violin and Taylor Lampe of Great Bend on trumpet.                                                       

The recital will also feature vocal performances from the following Barton Music students: Annelly Valdovinos of Great Bend, Terri Horner of Great Bend, Kolton Landreth of Wichita, Chantell McReynolds of Great Bend, Sammy Guyton of Great Bend and Caleb Rivera of Salina
