Barton Library invites community to celebrate “Library Lovers Month” in February

The Barton Community College Library will celebrate “Library Lovers Month” in February by featuring a unique event each week including special library-wide themes, creative book displays, a Facebook promotion, scavenger hunt and more.  The event is open to students, faculty, staff and community members.

The weekly themes are as follows:

Week 1: “Books Made Into Movies”
Week 2: “Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover”
Week 3: “Celebrate Your Love of Reading”
Week 4: “Fall in LOVE with the Barton Library”

The events are as follows:

Feb. 15 – Facebook Promotion - Participants will post a favorite book or author they LOVE to read to the Barton Library’s Facebook page.  Entrants will be eligible to win a wireless speaker and gift card.

Feb. 2, 13, 20 & 27 - Q & A Prize Drawing - Stop by the library each week and answer the question of the week to be entered in a prize drawing.

Feb. 23. – Scavenger Hunt - Fall in love with Barton Library as you explore our space during a scavenger hunt.  Free Valentine’s candy for those who participate.

Feb. 24. -- Cougar Text Promotion - Sign up to receive Cougar text messages from the library, then stop by the library to collect a token of our appreciation (free library gear and a Coffee Cove voucher.)
