The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) is working hard to eradicate tuberculosis from the United States.  The KDHE (Kansas Department of Health and Education) and the Kansas State legislature have taken the lead and are working aggressively to do their part.

Effective Fall Semester 2012, all students attending post-secondary schools classrooms will be required to complete a Tuberculosis Screening at the time of admission.  If the screening does not indicate the student is in a high risk category, enrollment will be completed.

If the screening indicates the student is high risk for possible tuberculosis, an assessment will need to be completed by student health, public health or a private physician.  Once this assessment is completed, enrollment can be finalized.
