Fine & Performing Arts Day

The 1st Annual Vortex Fine & Performing Arts Day is designed to stimulate and enhance students’ interest and excitement in the Arts (fine, performing, and literary).

Registration is open to high school students, middle school students with appropriate IEP’s, their instructors, and high school administrators.

Students discussing artThe Vortex Fine & Performing Arts Day will offer participants the opportunity to meet and visit with each other and to learn by partaking in the day’s planned activities dedicated to the arts. In addition to the scheduled fine arts juried show and critiques, students will choose from several fascinating hands-on mini-sessions, demonstrations, and showcases that they are sure to find enjoyable, exciting and educational. Presenters from the Barton faculty will be presenting in various areas including arts, music, theatre, dance, creative writing and storytelling.

Register to the right!
Each student, instructor, or administrator must register individually. Students, please provide the name of your instructor.

Participants will make a selection for Session A and another for Session B. Please keep in mind when registering for our ceramics presentation  that it is Raku pottery and will require both session times to complete. Seating is limited.

Registration must be submitted by FRIDAY FEBRUARY 15, 2013 .

A confirmation email of registered participants as well as check-in information will be sent to school instructors the week following registration submissions. Instructors must provide an email address when they register.
