Holiday Trees

Christmas treeThe Shafer Gallery Christmas Tree Decorating Program began in 1992, the gallery's inaugural year. Over the years, local doctors, banks, businessmen and individuals have donated the trees.

Trees are decorated by area school children and organizations. Most trees follow a theme such as creative classrooms, native woodlands, or cowboy culture.

Contact Dave Barnes at the Gallery if you have a class or organization that would like to participate.

Please attend the 2012 Holiday Open House "Festival of Trees", Sunday, Dec. 9.

  • New Quilts from an Old Favorite 2012: Baskets, will be on display.
  • View selections from the National Cookie Cutter Historical Museum.
  • As always, see the exhibit from the Golden Belt Model Railroad Association, a favorite of Children.
  • Enjoy Native American flute Christmas music by Grammy and Emmy Nominated musician John Two-Hawks from 1-4 p.m.
