Take a Seat - Barton Fine Arts Auditorium Restoration Campaign

Barton Community College has begun a project to revitalize the theatre seating, lighting and sound equipment in the Fine Arts auditorium. In conjunction with the remodeling the Barton Community College Foundation has organized the Take a Seat campaign. The Take a Seat campaign aims to raise a minimum of $30,000 to assist in the reconfiguration of the 632 seats in the theatre. Campaign logo The new seating plan will allow for much easier access in and out of the theatre and unobstructed views from each seat.

YOU can name an existing seat in the Fine Arts Auditorium to acknowledge your support of the arts or to honor a special individual. Click the seat to the right and use PayPal to submit your sponsorship.

  • Patrons may sponsor an existing seat for $125.
  • Each contributor will be acknowledged as a special Barton Benefactor in the Fine Arts Auditorium Lobby.

Recognition Opportunities: Bronze plate for 1 to 4 seats, a gold plate for 5 to 8 seats, and a purchase of 9 or more seats receives a silver plate.

Barton Community College’s 820-seat Fine Arts Auditorium, one of the largest permanent-seat performance spaces in the area, is home to the many plays, recitals, and concerts produced and hosted by the college.

Additional uses over the years include the Jack Kilby Science Day keynote lecture which attracts over 600 area high school students each fall, and the Sunflower Spelling Bee where  family and school members gathered to watch 89 students compete to spell the last word.
